About Tech News Explained
Tech News Explained covers what happened recently in technology and explains why it matters. We write for two kinds of readers at once: curious people who want to understand the news, and IT professionals who need the exact versions, scores and steps. Technical terms are explained the first time they appear, so neither group has to leave the page to follow the story.
What we cover
The site has five sections: Technology, Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, Guides and CVE Watch. CVE Watch follows recently disclosed vulnerabilities and answers the same questions every time: which product is affected, which versions are at risk, whether attacks have been confirmed and what you should do. Guides are step-by-step articles that stay useful after a story leaves the front page.
Every article is published in English, Simplified Chinese, Hindi, French, Brazilian Portuguese and Spanish, with the same facts, product names, version numbers and CVE identifiers in each language.
How we work
Each article starts from primary sources: the vendor's announcement, the release notes, the security advisory or the CVE record. Those sources are linked at the end of the article. We show the date we published, the date of the event and, when facts change, the date of the update. Our editorial policy explains these rules in detail, including how corrections are marked.
How we use AI tools
We use AI tools to help research, draft and translate articles. Every article is built on the primary sources listed at its end, and its facts, dates, version numbers and identifiers are checked against those sources before publication. When something cannot be confirmed, the article says so instead of guessing.
Independence
Tech News Explained does not publish sponsored articles at this time. If we ever publish sponsored content or links that earn us a commission, they will be clearly labeled on the page.
